Flange to Flange Miniature Force Sensor FFG is made of stainless steel utilizing strain gauge technology to deliver maximum 0.1% non-linearity of rated output.Miniature flange force sensor FFG offers 0-4.4lb / 0-11lb / 0-22lb / 0-45lb / 0-110lb / 0-220lb / 0-450lb six rated measuring ranges to choose from, Compression Force Transducer FFG can be used for both tension and compression force measurement. Specifications

A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.

Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of flange type cylindrical load cell FFG is around 2.0mV/V.
Power supply of flanged column load cell FFG is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of flange mounted load cell FFG is normally within 0-30mV(-30mV...+30mV for tension and compression force measurement).
Example one: Flange Load Cell FFG-500N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is -10mV...+10mV(Tension and compression).
Example two: Tension Compression Load Cell FFG-200N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC,the output range is -20mV...+20mV(Tension and compression).

A signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.

Example: Miniature Flange Force Transducer FFG-1kN working with -10-10V amplifier,the Force-Voltage relationship will be 0-1000N compression load VS 0-10V output, 0-1000N tension load VS 0-(-10V) output,which is linear regardless of the measurement error.
